The ep is coming on well, we are currently listening to rough mixes of the upcoming 4 track ep as yet untitled or is that self titled (wait a minute, we don’t have any titles yet!). Quality is good, yeh can’t wait to hear all the tracks. (Slight hint to andy b if he happens to be reading this, but obviously that is a joke)
A slight plug in the form of give me (Joe to the D) money! I’m doing a sponsored walk up snowdon this coming weekend, if you’d like to sponsor me or find out more about the project I will be working on completing an orphanage in Jinja, Uganda follow this link: . Cheers!

Ok, recording is now finished. Spent a crazy 1 day-erizer from N. Wales to Sheffield and back, with 6/7 hour recording session in between! Poor Bryn…
The EP is currently or has been edited and is in the pre-production stage - mixing, effects etc. I am also currently working on the CD artwork which will probably be a double sided tray insert and just a single side back cover. I’ll keep you updated with the different ideas.
Also is Ark Rock ArkRock a good name? Let us know please please…
There will be a fundraising gig on the 26th of May at our home church A.O.G, Bangor (the welsh one). Click here for more info, cheeaarhhz.

When we were on our way back from the studio in Sheffield, one of the rear tyres on Bryn’s metro literally blew up on the A55 (near Towyn). It is a testimony of (we believe) God’s divine protection that we somehow Bryn managed to control the car and it almost kept in a straight line. Plus when we pulled over, there was literally like a foot of the hard shoulder left.
It took us ages to actually get out the car, then we took photos of the deceased tyre. Bryn’s mum got hold of the police for us and they came within like half an hour - fair play. Then we found that Bryn’s spare tyre didn’t actually fit (it was for the new metro type). So we had to wait for ages for the breakdown to come and tow us. In the meantime, probably because we were just SLIGHTLY tired, we started a few jam sessions, including apparently painful rendition (according to the Police) of Amazing Grace acappella (and shaker).
The breakdown vehicle arrived eventually then somehow the guy located a spare metro wheel on a farm somewhere in Towyn or Abergele. When we got back to the yard where we’d towed the metro to, we found this wheel also didn’t fit, so the guy switched the tyres from the random wheel found in a farmyard to the now seriously dodgy rear metro wheel formerly on Bryn’s car.
We will be going back to the studio sometime in the next month, to complete Bryn’s guitar parts and vocals. Everything else is recorded (apart from shofar parts!).

Just to let you know what is happening with the band.
We are going in to a record our next EP this coming weekend in Sheffield with producer Andy Baker.
We played a local gig and got ‘graped’ by the audience. But they settled down in the end and we are grateful for the chance to play as ever.
(Apparently) Came second in a Battle of the Bands event at Easter People in Blackpool.

Just finished a couple of day recording at Rockcliffe studios in Llandudno. We were helping out a friend of ours, Daniel Tordoff, for his uni project. But we also managed to make a little demo of 2 of our newer songs.
First day got down most of the parts for a worship we covered in order to make a more acoustic song for this uni project. We also tracked all the drum and bass parts as Joe T couldn’t be there for the seconde day, and Alex, well… We even added some ace percussion (djembe and bongos) in Closer!
We recorded Freefall and Closer.
Today we finished off the guitars (including solos - eekage) and vocal parts.
I’m fairly happy with my performance, even though it is quite sloppy in parts, but given the time we had its alright.
I have to admit after doing the vocals for the worship song I was very scared of how the vocals on our songs would sound! All Who are Thirsty is actually a very easy song to sing (although quite high in the verses). I guess it gave Bryn the chance to warmup a bit. But serious, the vocals on our own songs are ace.
I’ve put up a very very quick rough mix of closer on our myspace. But I mean its not even edited, and theres hardly any bass (one of Simon’s traits), but its an idea of what it will sound like if we had recorded through a drainpipe.

Hey. I have finally updated the site! I decided that going with a blog is just a lot easier to update and keep you guys posted regularly.
So what’s going on?
We are currently rehearsing and improving the material we have in order to record a new 4 track EP.
It is quite likely we are going to do this in a studio in Sheffield over the Easter holidays. It also looks like we will be working with THE LEGENDARY Andy Baker, a record producer and old friend of ours who actually recorded our first ever demo all those years ago. He produced an album for a great upcoming indie/rock band The Gentlemen.
We will also be recording a couple of tracks including an acoustic song in a local studio to help out Daniel Tordoff with his final year project at uni. This will be good practise for us and we are extremely thankful to Daniel (if you’re reading this!).
