Rock Music in Wales

The Manic Street Preachers are Supreme among the examples of the new Rock and Pop era in Wales and a perfect axample of the talent that has been there beneath the surface for some time.  The valleys of South Wales hold little opportunity for the youth with closed coal mines and no other industry.  A way out is through music and this combines with a fine Welsh heritage for music combine to form superior music of the people.

Umbrella is an excellent example of the quality work that evolves in such conditions and is certainly a world renoun performance worthy of any Rock or Pop group.  In the streets of the Towns and Cities of Wales and most of the English speaking world youngsters can be heard singing the words of Umbrella with great gusto.
